( New frames and the haircut. Because it was time to finally take a damn picture. )
EDIT: Heck, I'll write up on what did happen today.
I'm apparently confirmed for E-3. No biggie, because everyone's automatically promoted for E-3. What was noteworthy was that apparently as far as noticing me goes, that's apparently going well-I got all my job-testing done early and was teaching others what to do now-and if I can start up a program for college classes, I will basically be putting myself well on the road to an easy chief-or-officer promotion once I get a degree, once I start doing classes. I've also been told to volunteer more....which, as one suggestion put it, was the 'navy day ball' we have like every month. Shudder.
But yes. If I can do something else noticeable, my promotions up to E-6 will be quite easy once I go through the needed waiting periods.
I still have to officially plot how to visit home with Chelza. Mostly, in the details: a date's been set up, which is nice, otherwise, the mode of travel will be all I need. And thence I can dump the official leave form on my bosses. Yay.
It's raining, but I'm not complaining...I was sticking inside to deal with the weights anyways. My legs, they scream.

Groan. Today sucked, in pretty much every way you can imagine.
I want to sleep, but I do not dare waste the weekend.

My glasses' frames have broke, and seem unrepairable.
Oh, fudge.
Back to the BCGs until I can snag a new pair. They're big, ugly, and lame, but they'll get the job done. Thank goodness I can at least start the process this weekend.

Big pre-navy nostalgia attack.
Though oddly, it woke me up once more for some goals.
More and more I'm getting back into a sort of bliss over achieving roughly what I wanted out of life already, and I think a new sense of optimism and goal-setting is feeling like it's coming upon me again. Maybe I can't do MUCH right now, but that sense of going off to do something big is coming back. And lord, it is wonderful.
EDIT: Ah, I'll put it here. I've been trying to use facebook more. I've added a couple of you. I'd appreciate anyone adding me in turn.

Go celebrate by giving a soldier a thumbs-up, an airman a handshake, or a sailor some alcohol.
If you cannot tell, I can only speak for what a sailor will be truly grateful for.

Apparently most people at work would not mind civilization a-crumbling and going mano-a-mano for resources, survival, and heading back to a feudal way of life, complete with killing and bartering as natural aspects of daily living.
They assured me I would be safe. 'Everybody's gonna need a court jester!'
------
UmbricMan (5:30:58 PM): People at work want society to go back to feudal levels and be all dangerous. UmbricMan (5:31:14 PM): They assure me I'll be safe 'cuz 'everyone wants a court jester'. BassClefKid (5:32:12 PM): that sounds like something my friends would tell me UmbricMan (5:32:27 PM): Pft. I'd go back to Delaware and become KING! UmbricMan (5:32:52 PM): The 'Kingdom of Delaware' with 'Andrew the First' has a nice ring to it. : D BassClefKid (5:33:25 PM): ...dear lord @_@

Of course, everyone then promised to invade and pillage when I mentioned that today, as well. Oops.

Apparently the latest word amongst my (pretty cool, actually) coworkers is that my inate goofball-ness/clumsiness at work combined with happily going straight to home everyday has convinced my co-workers I'm merely Clark Kenting and I'm secretly leading a double life saving lives.

The barber asked me if I was fifteen or sixteen years old today.
At least for a while I had eighteen-to-nineteen guesses going on...

I have a confession to make.
The stereotypes in my line of work were true. I'm gay.
I have to admit I always had homo thoughts lingering in my mind ever since I was a kid. Part of my luck with women until last year when Chelsea came along, I grant, was always partly from disinterest on MY side, though I'd never admit it till then. But it was true. Why would boobs interest me when a nice, hardened chest and pecs be so much more fun to massage in my palms? Why would pussy be fun when the penis would stick out, tantalizingly, begging to be felt, to be received, to suckle? And the whole concept in these days with conservanuts only made it more and more *exciting* to flaunt it to the other side of my life when I could.
Thankfully, the navy of all things helped with that. Boot camp showers were fun for eye candy. And Corry was pretty good with finally letting me get out with the dream-getting in bed with the guys would have been much easier than with the women, and a lot easier to convince to, since most navy chicks are pretty damn ugly. Who would have thought?
I love rubbing up against the chest and abs in bed.
I love blowing. I love receiving. I love the sudden rush of shock as dick enters me from behind.
I ADMIT IT.
I LOVE COCK!
------
In a total coincidence, today is my lovely, beautiful, sexy girlfriend hatredskunk's birthday! Happy birthday! I can't wait to see you in a couple days! Looooove you. : D

So I am, although there's barely not much to say. I have to move out of the building into a newly-built barracks by the 25th, which is bloody convenient-which is to say it is not. Oh well.
She suggests more pictures as well, but I've no camera and there's nothing worth picture-taking on base anyways. Oop.

I am going to have a nice, long, talk with the navy financial administration about keeping up contracts, like the one I enlisted with.
